UAE marks ‘Commemoration Day’ on November 30

The United Arab Emirates will mark “Commemoration Day” on Thursday, dedicated to honouring the nation’s martyrs who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty inside the country and abroad. On Commemoration Day, observed annually on November 30, the UAE recalls the heroism of its righteous sons who gave their lives in the pursuit of upholding the nation’s honour and safeguarding it with unwavering courage.
On this occasion, the government and people of the UAE remember with pride and gratitude the sacrifices of its brave heroes. Demonstrating an unwavering commitment to the well-being of martyr families, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, have designated this as a top priority.
The UAE’s leadership has implemented a comprehensive strategy focused on addressing the affairs of martyr families, including housing programmes, comprehensive healthcare, educational support, and various social welfare initiatives, all aimed at ensuring the stability and welfare of the families.
The UAE has launched the “Abnaa Al Fakhr Camp”, which is being organised by the Martyrs’ Families’ Affairs Office.
The Camp aims to receive the sons of the UAE martyrs with a view of consolidating authentic Emirati skills and values through various activities derived from the original UAE heritage.
