UAE launches water project in Khawkhah

The UAE launched a water project in remote area in Khawkhah District, Hodeidah Governorate, to fulfil the needs of Yemeni people in Red Sea Coast.
The project includes the restoration of an artesian well, a 100,000-litre water tank, a 36,000-metre water network, and a solar energy system.
Mohamed Salim Al Junaibi, Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), Director of Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen, said that the project is being supervised by the ERC to alleviate the suffering of Yemenis
Mohammed Yahia Abdul Salam, Director-General of Khawkhah District and Chairman of the Local Council, stated that the UAE has implemented many education, health, water, and electricity projects around the district, while noting that the water project will benefit over 15,000 people.
Many local residents praised the UAE for supporting them and launching key projects in the Red Sea Coast.
