Saqr Ghobash, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, has discussed with visiting Indonesian Minister of Manpower Mohamed Hanif Dhakiri prospects for joint co-operation in labour issues.
Ghobash spoke during the meeting about the reality of the labour market in the UAE and the package of new policies which took effect this year and their role in stabilising work relations between employers and employees. He also touched on his ministry’s programme to increase job opportunities for Emirati human resources in the local job market in consonance with the UAE Vision 2021 National Agenda which seeks to catapult the UAE towards a competitive and knowledge-driven economy.
The Indonesian minister praised the job market policies adopted by the UAE, saying the UAE’s job market provides diverse, attractive job opportunities for the skilful Indonesian workforce.
The two ministers reviewed results of a memorandum of understanding they signed and the possibility of renewing it, so as to enhance joint co-operation and serve mutual interests.
