The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE) on Wednesday launched ‘UAE Green Dashboard’, an online open data platform that allows the public to access statistical data assessments of the country’s overall progress in its transition into a green economy.
Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al-Zeyoudi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, announced the initiative during the opening session of the 2018 World Green Economy Summit.
The dashboard was developed to enable stakeholders to understand UAE’s efforts to achieve a green economy and benefit from government’s open data policy by utilising performance data for own research and analysis. In addition to highlighting benchma- rks and past results for 41 green key performance indicators, the dashboard sheds light on general level of compliance with targets, and annual progress rate, facilitating target-setting for the future.
