UAE-France relations historical: Mohammed

HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received on Tuesday former French president Francois Hollande, on the sidelines of the now-running Arab Strategy Forum 2017.
Also present during the meeting were HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai.

Mohammed commended the deeply-rooted friendship and cooperation relations between UAE and France which His Highness described as historical and based on mutual respect and common interest. He affirmed the two countries’ keenness to work together for maintaining regional and international peace.
For his part, Hollande hailed the remarkable cultural progress witnessed by the UAE at various levels and fields, citing the diverse cultural landscape in the country as being a telling tool conducive to making the national a destination for cultural diversity and an oasis of stability and tolerance for all races and nationalities.
The meeting was attended by HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, HH Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance, Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future and Chairman of the Arab Strategy Forum, Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, and Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, Director-General of Dubai Protocol and Hospitality Department.
