UAE dispatches aid convoy to Yemen’s Raida and Qusayr

The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), has sent an emergency aid convoy to the residents of Al Raida and Qusayr districts, in the Yemeni Governorate of Hadramaut, that consisted of food baskets, clothes and blankets.
The emergency aid convoy comes after the two districts suffered severe damages due to the Cyclone Luban which forced many families to leave their homes and take schools and other public places as shelters.
The beneficiaries lauded the support given by the UAE and its humanitarian arm, the ERC, to the people of Yemen. Since the beginning of 2018, the Year of Zayed, the ERC distributed 23,236 food baskets to over 116,180 needy people in Hadhramaut.

The ERC also distributed 1,000 food baskets to families in the Al Wade’a District in the Yemeni Governorate of Abyan.
The ERC said the food supplies will help ease the suffering of 7,000 people
living in difficult conditions.
