The UAE announced today its commitment of US$100 million to the Fund for Climate Impact Response, following an agreement to operationalise the fund during the United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP28).
On the occasion, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, said, “We congratulate all parties on the historic adoption of this fund for climate impact response and announce the UAE’s commitment of US$100 million as our contribution.”
“We call on all countries in a position to do so to contribute generously, as an important symbol of solidarity.” he added.
