UAE Ambassador meets President of Chamber of Deputies in Mexico

Ahmed Hatem Al Menhali, UAE Ambassador to the United Mexican States, met with Marcela Guerra Castillo, President of the Chamber of Deputies, in her office at the capital, Mexico City.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the bilateral relations between the UAE and Mexico, and ways of enhancing cooperation between the two countries across various fields, which serve the interests and aspirations of both countries and their peoples.
The two sides explored the major achievements of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), which was held in Expo City Dubai, and that concluded with a historic agreement by 198 Parties, the UAE Consensus.
They also discussed the importance of the parliamentary meeting held at COP28, which resulted in the successful ratification of a document at a multilateral level that addresses climate financing claims, in cooperation with experts and decision makers.
Furthermore, they reviewed the cooperation between the UAE and Mexico in this regard.
Al Menhali affirmed the deep-rooted and historical ties that bind the two nations, as demonstrated through the continuous exchange of expertise, insight, and experiences in all fields, including parliamentary realms.
For her part, Castillo highlighted her pride in the UAE-Mexican relations, and emphasised Mexico’s keenness to strengthen cooperation with the UAE across various sectors, which would contribute to solidifying bilateral ties.
