TRA shares best practices with Kuwaiti telecom delegation

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA), received a delegation from the Telecommunication and Information Technology Authority of Kuwait. The visit aims to review the best practices and strategies related to the regulatory affairs and licensing management, development of provided services, and customer happiness.
The visit agenda included a detailed presentation prepared by the TRA Regulatory Affairs team, detailing a general overview of the sector, and the regulatory framework of licensing, mechanisms for the issuing and renewal of operators’ licenses, as well as the regulations of consumer affairs and consumer protection.
The TRA Customer Happiness Section also provided a detailed explanation on several topics, including the Section’s organisational structure, methodology and framework of government services development, in addition to presenting some projects and initiatives developed by the TRA.
Commenting on the delegation’s visit, Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, TRA Director-General, said, “We welcome our brothers and sisters from the State of Kuwait. We stress the importance of these types of visits to enhance coordination, cooperation and exchange of expertise and knowledge among the GCC Countries, especially in
the field of communications and
smart government, which are among the most important pillars of sustainable
development.”
Al Mansoori added, “At the TRA, we have been able to accomplish great achievements towards enhancing the culture of customer happiness, by including it as a key element in all initiatives and projects developed by various TRA departments. In this context, we work in line with the vision stipulated in the Emirates Programme for Excellence in Government Services, which aims to rate the UAE among the top countries in the world, and providing seven-star government services by 2021.”
