Theyab bin Mohamed meets ministerial representatives, transport sector leaders at Global Rail Transport Infrastructure Exhibition and Conference

His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs, and Chairman of Etihad Rail, has met with several ministerial representatives and transport sector leaders to discuss key visions and strategies to enhance cooperation and unify global efforts, aiming to achieve a significant transformation in the transportation and rail sectors.
This took place during the second day of the Global Rail 2024 Conference and Exhibition, hosted by Etihad Rail at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, running until 10 October 2024. The event is held with the support of His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Etihad Rail, toured the exhibition, visiting various pavilions of participating entities in the exhibition, including Progress Rail, Alstom, Hitachi, CRRC, CAF, Talgo, Larsen & Toubro, Siemens, among other companies.
His Highness also visited the Innovation Hub, where he met railway entrepreneurs and R&D specialists to showcase the latest cutting-edge technologies that will redefine the future of transport, infrastructure, and logistics.
This includes advanced technologies, innovative solutions, artificial intelligence, high-speed trains, and maglev trains.
On the second day, His Highness honoured the key partners and sponsors of Global Rail for their commitment to the development and advancement of the sector through their support and contribution to the event’s success.
The list of sponsors included Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank as the main sponsor of the Finance Pavilion at Global Rail, along with strategic partners such as the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, Abu Dhabi Transport Company, Abu Dhabi Airports, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority, and DP World. Silver sponsors included Alstom, HATCH, and Jacobs, with ARUP as the Knowledge Partner and PwC as the Strategic Expertise Partner.
Global Rail 2024 concludes its activities tomorrow, Thursday. The event serves as a unique platform for participants, as well as railway operators, contractors, financiers, and leading companies in the field of innovation, to enhance collaboration and forge partnerships aimed at shaping a better future for the transport and infrastructure sector through the exchange of knowledge, and investment in advanced and effective transport solutions, particularly smart systems and the transformative power of AI.
