EMIRATES BUSINESS

Located in the heart of the city, at the distinctive Al Murooj Rotana Hotel, Jodhpur, a nostalgic fine dining Indian restaurant was launched with a promise to bring back childhood memories for its
visitors.
With the food and beverage industry constantly growing in Dubai, and most Indian restaurants jumping on the contemporary cooking bandwagon, Jodhpur takes the road less travelled. Under the able guidance of talented Executive Chef Pradeep Khullar, it recreates some of India’s beloved dishes with multiple textures and the layering of flavours in the most coherent and clever way. On the occasion of the opening, a humbled Chef Khullar said, “At Jodhpur, I want to take all my diners on a retro-innovative journey with my food. My recipes are inspired by some of the delicious dishes I have grown up eating and I have given them my own spin by adding some global textures and ingredients.”
With Indian curries being one of the most savoured experiences in Dubai, Chef Pradeep has had his plate full with modifying to the rhythms of the region.
Over 11 years of creation, both out of passion and errors, Chef Pradeep assumes the role of Executive Chef at the newly launched Indian fine dining restaurant, Jodhpur. As the new Chef in town, he is excited to continue offering a delectable serving to diners who appreciate something new every time.
Taking inspiration from his ‘always have an ace up your sleeve’ culinary background, the chef leaves no stone unturned to surprise the diners with his unusual use of contemporary ingredients to recreate classical Indian flavours. Chef Pradeep ensures his food hits all the right memorable notes for his guests and leaves them with a sense of astonishment. With the aim to always include varied elements, such as gun powder Pappad to complement the Chettinad Prawn curry, every dish is destined to leave the diner with an astounding and lasting impression. Jodhpur pays a fitting homage with a very fresh take on the classic Indian dining experience, with dishes such as the faux Dal Makhani, which is made with the split green gram instead of the usual black lentils. On the other end of the spectrum you have the Malai Kofta Asparagus Tak-a-Tak, a spicy yet flavorful recreation of the classical dish.
The 100-seater restaurant brings its visitors ‘back to the roots’ cooking, with all its exquisite and favourite flavours. The food aims to inspire diners to go beyond the fad of molecular gastronomy and revel in the glorious taste of the Indian cuisine classics of bygone days, and all with an original and creative twist.
The restaurant offers outdoor poolside seating, wonderful in the winter months, as well as an ambient and distinctive Indian-inspired interior for when the temperature rises.
Jodhpur successfully creates a perfect harmony between its modern Indian cuisine offering and the luxurious yet understated restaurant decor.
Jodhpur is set to weave an indelible dining experience for its customers with its retro-innovative concept.
