Tejar Dubai, an initiative of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, recently launched SWOT Specialized Professional Institute (SSPI), a new training institute in Dubai’s Garhoud area which specialisies in aviation, logistics, and cargo safety.
The institute is the 28th commercial project to be launched by Tejar Dubai to date, while it is also the third business venture to be launched under the initiative this year. The launch ceremony was attended by Dr Essa Bastaki, President of the University of Dubai, SSPI’s Owner and Founder Mohammed Bader Jany, and representatives from the local business community.
SSPI offers specialised training designed for youth to develop IT and language skills that are needed in the field. The institute’s team has 20 years of experience in the aviation and cargo industries. The institute also announced its new partnership with Dangerous Goods Management (DGM), a Netherlands-based provider of solutions for the transport of dangerous goods by air, sea and land. DGM is internationally recognised and located in more than 45 countries across six continents.
H.E. Hisham Al Shirawi, 2nd Vice Chairman of Dubai Chamber and Head of the Tejar Dubai Selection Committee Panel, said that the launch of SSPI is significant as it aims to fill a skills gap among youth in the UAE by providing them with knowledge, tools, and a solid foundation for a successful career in aviation and logistics. He explained that the launch of this project reflects the ability of young Emiratis to develop innovative business ideas and solutions that can meet the demand of the labour markets and employers, and also contribute toward Dubai’s economic growth.
Commenting on the launch, Jany said the main aim of this project is to provide the necessary training for all those who wish to develop their practical and educational skills in the fields of aviation, shipping, logistics, and safety.
Jany lauded Tejar Dubai and Dubai Chamber for its support, particularly the analysis and expert advice provided to his team, which he says was critical to getting the
project off the ground.
He also revealed his future ambition to make SSPI a pioneer in training at a national and international level and eventually become known as a Dubai-based organisation with a global reach.
Tejar Dubai is a specialised entrepreneurial development programme that provides young Emirati entrepreneurs with access to an extensive development programme, including classroom learning, on-site training, mentoring and business advice, as well as networking opportunities with local and international business leaders, and access to investment capital.
