Abu Dhabi Summer Season (ADSS) will be taken to new heights into September after organisers Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) teamed up with Abu Dhabi Airports to promote the emirate-wide entertainment extravaganza. ADSS has already brought some fantastic shows and activities to venues across the emirate, including master illusionist Jamie Raven, a Dinosaur Zoo Live show and Hello Kitty Live.
But more are on the way, including the extraordinary theatricality of Peter Pan and the hilarity of the Arab Comedy Festival.
And now, TCA Abu Dhabi’s team-up with Abu Dhabi Airports means that more people than ever will be encouraged to see these spectacular shows as the airports help to spread the word and build the excitement about the incredible entertainment on offer in the emirate this summer. A spectacular raffle draw for all arriving air passengers is currently running at the airport’s Duty Free shop, with fantastic prizes on offer including hotel stays, dining vouchers, spa vouchers and ADSS show tickets. And in addition, the arrivals hall at Abu Dhabi International Airport is decked out in ADSS posters and offers.
Abu Dhabi Summer Season runs until September 11, with a four-day run for Peter Pan at Al Raha Beach Threatre and a two-day Arab Comedy Festival, featuring host Bin Baz, hilarious Saudi social media trio Ibrahim Saleh, Fadi Al Shehri and Ibrahim Khairallah, multi-talented Emirati Taim Al Falasi as well as Manal Awad, Rajae Qawas and Fahad Al Butairi, bringing the Season to a spectacular close.
Dan Cappell, Acting Chief Commercial Officer at Abu Dhabi Airports, said: “In July, we welcomed over 2.2 million passengers as they transited through the airport.
Thanks to our strategic branding throughout the terminals, our partnership with ADSS and its plethora of shows and activities has reached impressive audience numbers. We’re delighted to give such visitors a greater insight into the entertainment options that are available until mid-September, and this collaboration reflects our
commitment to offering travellers the greatest experiences possible in the capital.”
Abu Dhabi Summer Season 2016 is an exciting programme of world-class international theatre shows, comedy acts, concerts, circus performances, and more that are being held at venues across Abu Dhabi city, Al Ain and the Western Region.
