The “Tarahum for Gaza” campaign is continuing as part of the UAE’s ongoing efforts to extend a helping hand to assist the Palestinian people. The campaign will organise new activities on Thursday, November 9th, at Emirates Hospitality Center in Ajman, and on Sunday, November 12th, at Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal part of Abu Dhabi Ports Group, under the supervision of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority. The events will take place from 9am until 2pm.
The campaign events have been organised to maintain the strong momentum and significant participation from all segments of society wishing to contribute to the UAE’s humanitarian efforts to help those impacted in the Gaza Strip. The engagement from the community illustrates the deep-rooted values of cooperation and human solidarity that constitute the fundamental pillars of UAE society.
The campaign is supervised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the Emirates Red Crescent Authority and the World Food Programme, in coordination with the Ministry of Community Development, with the participation of 20 relief and humanitarian organizations. “Tarahum for Gaza” was launched to mitigate the severity of the Palestinian’s humanitarian crisis of the most vulnerable groups, especially children and women.
Eight planes were sent carrying more than 200 tonnes of food, medical and relief supplies collected as part of the Tarahum for Gaza campaign. Operations to distribute aid in the Gaza Strip commenced in cooperation with the World Food Programme.
Notably, the campaign is part of UAE’s continuous efforts to support Palestinians in Gaza. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, directed the launch of the “Gallant Knight 3” operation, which includes the establishing of an integrated field hospital inside the Gaza Strip. His Highness also directed the provision of medical treatment at UAE hospitals for 1,000 Palestinian children, accompanied by their families, to provide them with necessary medical and health care and ensure their recovery prior to their safe return.
