Tadweer launches series of awareness lectures

Tadweer (The Center of Waste Management – Abu Dhabi) launched a series of awareness lectures at a number of Abu Dhabi Majlises. The first lecture titled “From Waste to Resources” was held at Majlis Al Bateen, and was attended by His Excellency Jaber Mohammed Ghanem Al Suwaidi, the General Director of the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi, members of Tadweer’s senior management and staff, a host of employees of government institutions and citizens. The objective of the lecture is to further promote Tadweer’s products and services and educate the community on segregating waste at source and maintaining the cleanliness of the Emirate.
Dr. Salem Al Ka’abi, Deputy General Manager of Tadweer (The Center of Waste Management – Abu Dhabi) said in his lecture at Majlis Al Bateen: “This initiative comes in line with Tadweer’s social responsibility and its efforts to raise awareness amongst the community members. It also aims to promote environmental sustainability in order to achieve Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030 and Plan”.
“Through these lectures, we aspire to foster a conscious community that understands the environmental and economic benefits of turning waste into resources; this can be achieved by reducing waste and segregating it at source. At Tadweer, we strive to follow the steps of our wise leadership and establish diverse initiatives focusing on innovation and knowledge development”, Al Ka’abi added.

These lectures contribute to raising the community’s awareness on Tadweer’s values, which are built on sustainability, culture of change, excellence, innovation and social responsibility.

Educating the community on the importance of keeping the environment safe and adopting the right habits to maintain a responsible sustainable society remain at the forefront of Tadweer’s priorities.
