Tadweer (The Center of Waste Management – Abu Dhabi) announced the kick-off of a 3-month awareness campaign in Abu Dhabi main island Western Zone in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Municipality and Averda, the Municipal waste services contractor for the Western Zone of Abu Dhabi main island.
Eng. Nayel Rashed Al Shamsi, Project Manager, Tadweer said: “The campaign aims to promote waste reduction, reuse, recycle and sorting at source, and to foster a community that is aware of the significance of these concepts, in line with Tadweer’s vision and mission and corporate values of sustainability, excellence, innovation and social responsibility.â€
“The campaign is part of a series of awareness initiatives organized by Tadweer to develop a sustainable waste management culture among residents of Abu Dhabi. It is crucial to maintain the cleanliness of the Emirate in line with Abu Dhabi Vision and Plan,†added Al Shamsi.
The campaign is expected to achieve successful results, including raising environmental awareness, improving social conduct, and increasing the revenue from material recovery. Tadweer will be conducting similar campaigns in other sectors across the Emirate.
