Tadweer creates awareness on occupational safety and health

Tadweer (The Center of Waste Management – Abu Dhabi), which is the Waste Sector Regulatory Authority delegated by Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHAD) to follow up implementation of requirements Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health System Framework (OSHAD SF) in the waste sector, organized the 2nd awareness workshop on the occupational Safety & health system in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The workshop was held under the guidance of Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHAD) in order to discuss the latest changes in the OSHAD framework (OSHAD SF) v3 issued in July 2016, and promote awareness of among the waste sector entities.
Engineer Hani Hosni, Director of the Environment, Health and Safety Department at Tadweer said: “Conducting such workshops comes in line with Tadweer’s efforts to adopt models that comply with the highest international standards that will help protect workers, achieve sustainability and integrated waste management and contribute to the Abu Dhabi Vision 2030.”
Tadweer also distributed certificates of appreciation to the four most distinctive categories in handling the occupational health
and safety management system among the environmental services providers. These workshops help keep service providers informed about the latest program updates from the Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHAD). They also provide the companies with a platform to exchange ideas, suggestions and experiences to help improve health & safety and avoid occupational illness, injuries and property damage.
Tadweer is the main governmental entity that handles all the activities related to the development of waste management services, from the collection, transport, treatment, and safe disposal in an efficient and economical way across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
