Street Art to reimagine city destinations for Abu Dhabi

An extraordinary programme of street art is capturing the imagination of the community in Abu Dhabi for the 8th edition of Abu Dhabi Art. Curated by Fabrice Bousteau, this tailored programme features the live creation of artistic masterpieces on shipping containers across four locations throughout the city. Street Art’s local and international talents will showcase their art across four public spaces including Manarat Al Saadiyat, Yas Marina and Warehouse 421, until May 13, 2017.
Californian artist Cleon Peterson has reimagined graphic design in a unique large-scale three-dimensional work at Warehouse 421.
Showcasing an alternate source of creative inspiration, Sya & Bow, Dubai-based aerosol artists from London reinvents Manarat Al Saadiyat’s garden through contemporary graffiti art, while Sya alone presents another eye-catching masterpiece at Yas Marina.
Dubai-based Fats’ instantly recognisable stylised works, depicting cultural themes of creativity, freedom and humanity, takes form at Manarat Al Saadiyat, along with New Delhi-based introspective painter Anpu Varkey, and the artist-duo Lek and Sowat known for their interest in Urbex (Urban Exploration).
