Luxury Swiss watchmaker and aviation chronograph specialist, Breitling has introduced a highly exclusive version of its legendary Navitimer model. The Navitimer 46 Blacksteel, which is now available across Breitling Boutiques and stores, returns to the Middle East with an all-black exterior.
The newest version
of the classic Navitimer appears in a generous 46mm diameter that accentuates its presence on the wrist and enhances the originality of its design, while optimising the readability of the dial and of the circular aviation slide rule.
Commenting on the new model, Aed Adwan, Breitling Middle East said: “The famous Navitimer has been a cult model amongst pilots and aviation devotees since 1952. The newest version of the model steps things up a notch in a version entirely clothed in black: from its satin-brushed steel case coated with an ultra-resistant carbon-based treatment to the famous circular slide rule that serves to handle all operations relating to airborne navigationâ€.
The Navitimer 46 Blacksteel has been modernised with an original and technical exterior. Instead of the three silvered counters on the classic model, the dial bears two tone-on-tone counters. An authentic instrument panel, created using the “par épargne†technique on a sterling silver base, enhanced by red accents in the shape of small counter pointers and a central sweep-seconds hand.
A transparent caseback allows users to admire the Breitling Caliber 01 high-performance movement, chronometer-certified by the COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute). Further accentuating the aeronautical touch, the black case and dial are fitted with a sturdy and comfortable all-new rubber strap bearing an aircraft tire-tread pattern.
A specialist of technical watches, Breitling has played a crucial role in the development of the wrist chronograph and is a leader in this complication. The firm has shared all the finest moments in the conquest of the skies thanks to its sturdy, reliable and high-performance instruments.
One of the world’s only
major watch brands to equip all its models with chronometer-certified movements, the ultimate token of precision, Breitling is also one of the rare companies to produce its own mechanical chronograph movements, entirely developed and manufactured in its own workshops. This family business is also one of the last remaining independent Swiss watch brands.
