Social responsibility team to coordinate devp of social work

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, has approved a number of initiatives and policies related to societal development, voluntary work and promoting the standard of services provided in the emirate. He gave the approval during Executive Council meeting at Etihad Museum.
The council discussed ways to enhance societal and voluntary programmes to keep pace with the aspirations of Dubai society to be in line with the strategic plan of the Year of Giving initiative launched by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and followed by Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Sheikh Hamdan while commemorating the legacy of the founding
fathers, said that today’s meeting was aimed at developing our ideas and unifying more efforts for the benefit of all segments of the society. “The principles of humanitarian work are deep-rooted in our Islamic and Arab values, and we will continue the march with the help of the current generation to keep pace with the
aspirations of the future,” he said.
He added, “The voluntary programmes are our social responsibility, and will remain an utmost priority for the Government of Dubai. We all should contribute to spreading happiness among the society by meeting their needs for a dignified life for them and their families.”
Sheikh Hamdan directed the formation of social responsibility team which will be under the umbrella of social development committee of the Dubai Executive Council to coordinate development of social work in the emirate.
