Smart Dubai’s 300 Smart City innovations on display at tech expo

Smart traffic and virtual reality housing are among the citizen services at GITEX Technology Week that show the UAE government at the forefront of global innovation and enhancing daily lives.
Smart Dubai is showcasing more than 300 Smart City innovations, across 11 experiences and six Smart City dimensions, in line with the Happiness Agenda.
“Smart Dubai participation at GITEX Technology Week this year sets a new standard in showcasing our efforts to transform Dubai to a smart city to a large audience of decision makers, businesses, and government representatives from all over the world. Thanks to the continuous support of our eight strategic sponsors and 55 partners who are offering many innovative smart services, and the great collaboration between private and public sectors in Dubai, we continue to work to achieve our vision to become the happiest and the smartest city on earth,” said Her Excellency Dr Aisha Butti bin Bishr, Director General of Smart Dubai.
Visitors are eagerly experiencing Smart Dubai’s innovations across land, sea and air outlets, public services, smart homes, smart shopping, health, education, business and judicial services – from connected cars to augmented reality homes.
Saeed, a ground-breaking artificial intelligence service for the commercial sector, launched in collaboration with Smart Dubai, the Dubai Smart Government, the Dubai Department of Economic Development, and IBM.
The Dubai Health Department launched a new smart ambulance system, while Dubai Police launched 15 new smart services including an interactive fingerprint.
On a national level, the UAE Ministry of Finance launched eDebit and eDirect services across 630 payment locations across, and the Supreme Legislation Committee launched smart projects to upgrade Dubai’s legal and legislative system with a wide range of self-services.
The Government of Ajman also launched e-government services such Handasah for land use, Mawqifi for parking, MPDA for city services, and Tasdeeq for real estate.
