SLC’s Winter Wonderland camp sees its Basateen Preschool Centre offer an entertainment and educational programme for children aged 3-5 years, with the activities formulated to encourage them to be creative. During the programme, which stimulates thinking through fun experiments, it is hoped that the children will discover the wonder of science and learn how it shapes the world.
Little ones are being given the opportunity to learn life skills through sand sculpturing and water activities at Winter Wonders. Music, motor activities, story reading, creative workshops, field trips, and puppet shows are among the many activities that are lined up for pre-schoolers during the camp.
Also during Winter Wonderland, children at SLC’s Tiny Talents camp will enjoy a wide range of fun-filled initiatives and winter-related crafts, such as creating a snow heater and drawing snowman. They will enjoy outdoor activities, playing with clay and having their faces painted, in addition to learning collage arts and recycling. The little ones will also engage in interactive workshops to learn how to design accessories, cook and much more.
At the ‘Art Unlimited’ camp, girls aged 6-12 years can learn ceramics and pottery making, sewing, crown making, painting on canvas with acrylics and pastels, cookery, paper recycling, henna design and embroidery. A diverse array of exercise activities, including swimming, badminton, football and gymnastics are also being taught at the ‘Sports’ camp.
The Collage Talent Centre is organising the ‘Art Express’ programme, which is designed to teach drawing and painting through use of acrylics, pastels, oil and water-colours, charcoal and pencil to draw as well as paint various subjects such as natural landscapes, silent
