Sharjah Ruler issues Emiri Decree on formation of Energy Council

H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, issued an Emiri Decree regarding the formation of the Energy Council in the emirate of Sharjah.
The Decree stipulated that the Energy Council shall be formed under the chairmanship of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council, and the membership of each of:
1. H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Petroleum Department.
2. Sheikh Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Vice Chairman of the Petroleum Department.
3. Saeed Sultan Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority.
4. Waleed Ibrahim Al Sayegh, Director General of the Finance Department.
The term of membership in the Council shall be four years, which may be extended for a similar period or periods, starting from its first meeting.
The Council shall continue to carry out its work upon the expiry of its term until a new Council is appointed, and those whose term of membership has expired may be reappointed.
