The Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) and the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure discussed ways of boosting their cooperation, in light of their mutual keenness to help achieve their strategic goals and establish effective relations.
This came as part of a meeting between Sultan Abdullah bin Hedah Al Suwaidi, Chairman of SEDD, and Sharif Salim Al Olama, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, at the SEDD headquarters.
During the meeting, the sides discussed various public issues and presented key local economic indexes, through a presentation that included an economic analysis of recent data and commercial and industrial developments in the emirate.
Al Suwaidi stressed the importance of holding such meetings to boost the cooperation between government
entities.
The ministry’s delegation also stressed its keenness to strengthen its cooperation with SEDD, which will enable relevant authorities to improve services provided to investors, support the national economy and ensure its strength and sustainability, and attract foreign investments across all sectors.
The sides highlighted the importance of enhancing their future cooperation, in line with government service standards set by the federal and local governments, as well as of holding similar meetings.
The meeting was attended by Ahmed Mohammed Al Kaabi, Assistant Under-Secretary for Petroleum, Gas and Mineral Resources at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure; Nasser Khamis Al Suwaidi, Director of Petroleum and Gas Affairs Department at the Ministry, and a number of officials from both entities.
