Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) and Emirates Post Group (EPG) have discussed prospects of e-linking economic activities related to postal system between the two organisations.
The idea was discussed at a meeting between Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Chairman of SEDD and delegation from Emirates Post Group, led by Obaid Al Qatami, Acting Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates Post Group and included Sultan Saho, Operations Manager in 3rd Postal Zone and Abdullah Al Humiari, Director of the Northern Emirates Delivery Center.
The parties discussed mutual cooperation as well as the exchange of experiences in the framework of their efforts to strengthen the strategic partnership and cooperation in various fields of common interest.
Al Suwaidi welcomed the delegation and stressed on the importance of holding such meetings that help in enhancing cooperation and mutual coordination in contributing to achieving sustainable economic development. He also pointed out that such cooperation is crucial between all government agencies to support all sectors and achieve the strategic objectives and the UAE vision as well as the aspirations of the leading Government. He added that this visit also comes with the aim to intensify the efforts to improve the services provided to investors, which come in line with the standards of government services.
Obaid Al Qatami expressed his gratitude and thanks to Al Suwaidi for his continuous and unlimited support for the activities of the Emirates Post Group. He added that the Emirates Post seeks to strengthen strategic partnership with strategic partners.
He pointed out that strengthening the cooperation between the Department of Economic Development in Sharjah and the EPG in shared interest, especially with regard to the electronic linkage of economic activities associated with the mail system, comes within the concerns to make customers happier. In addition, the coordination was discussed on the preliminary approvals for economic licenses, which are related to the activities related to the Emirates Post Group and the coordination of the inspection of such activities too.
