Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) received, a delegation from Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) that comprised Mian Humayun Parvez, President of RCCI, and Manzar Khurshid Shaikh, Chairman of RCCI Global Achievement Awards and RCCI’s former president.
The two delegations held a meeting at SCCI, headed by Abdullah Sultan Al Owais and attended by Mohammed Amin, Assistant Director General for Economic and International
Affairs Section, and Fatema
Al Muqarrab, Head of
Economic Cooperation and
Foreign Relations Section.
Mian Humayun Parvez invited Abdullah Sultan Al Owais to participate in the Pakistani RCCI Annual Achievement Awards ceremony that recognises excellent performance and innovation displayed by companies and entrepreneurs. The 29th edition of the Awards ceremony will take place for the first time outside Pakistan, in Dubai, UAE, on September 25.
Both sides held talks on means that would strengthen bilateral cooperation. The visiting Pakistani delegation expressed interest in organising such a ceremony in the Emirate of Sharjah in the coming years thanks to the fact that Sharjah represents a professional attractive environment for investment and is a favourable business destination, possesses the kind of legislation and laws that facilitate trade flow, and represents a safe haven for growth of the commercial and industrial sector in line with the wise vision of HH Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed
Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
The two delegations agreed that SCCI should invite traders and representatives from the business sector in the emirate and thus ensure their more effective participation in the upcoming event, considered unique on the world stage.
