Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of National Assembly of Seychelles discuss strengthening parliamentary relations

Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), and Roger Mancienne, Speaker of the National Assembly of Seychelles, discussed, during a virtual meeting, ways to strengthen bilateral and parliamentary cooperation between the two friendly countries.
The FNC’s Friendship Committee with African Parliaments attended the meeting.
During the virtual meeting, Saqr Ghobash emphasised the depth of bilateral relations between the UAE and the Republic of Seychelles, which serve as a model of friendship and fruitful cooperation in various vital sectors.
He highlighted that these relations are based on historical ties, mutual respect, and a shared vision to promote international peace and security.
The FNC Speaker stressed the vital role of parliamentary diplomacy in building cooperation and communication with parliaments worldwide, ensuring coordinated action on shared priorities.
In turn, Mancienne emphasised that the UAE is one of his country’s largest strategic partners. He also stressed the need to activate parliamentary cooperation between the two sides and to hold meetings of the Friendship Committee to keep pace with the development of bilateral relations in all fields.
