Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), held talks with Manzoor Nadir, Speaker of the National Assembly of the 12th Parliament of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, to explore ways of enhancing parliamentary cooperation.
The discussions took place on the sidelines of the 149th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Geneva, Switzerland.
Both sides emphasised the importance of strengthening parliamentary relations and fostering bilateral coordination in international parliamentary forums, particularly in areas of mutual interest.
Ghobash highlighted the significance of advancing UAE-Guyana ties, stressing the role of parliamentary efforts in promoting cooperation across various fields. He noted that such collaboration aligns with the visions of both countries’ leadership and serves the interests of their people.
The meeting was attended by several members of the Federal National Council.
