Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone) organized seminars in Lisbon and Porto cities in Portugal recently.
The delegation, which was led by Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of SAIF Zone and Hamriyah Free Zone, also consisted of Raed Bukhatir, Deputy Commercial Director and Wafa Balsawad, Marketing Manager.
SAIF Zone team presented a summary of the business opportunities and advantages it offer.
A number of senior business leaders and decision makers from the public and private sectors attended the seminars in both cities.
“The presentation and interactions provided an excellent chance for investors to know the ongoing business opportunities available in the SAIF Zone which is a gate to Middle East and an effective trade platform for Asia and Africaâ€, said Al Mazrouei.
“This is the second year we are conducting road shows in Portugal. We value our Portuguese investors who are operating from SAIF Zone and we are sure the number will go upâ€, he added.
The delegation also held a round-table meeting with the members of the Portuguese Industrial Association – Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AIP-CCI) which led to direct interaction with senior traders and investors.
“We interacted with investors from agricultural, food industry, textile and IT sectors. Some of them have shown interest in SAIF Zoneâ€, Al Mazrouei added.
Currently, the zone has over 7,000 companies which carry out varied business activities like light to medium manufacturing, trading and provide services such as IT and consultancy.
