RTA launches revised strategic plan 2016-2020

The Supreme Committee for Strategic Planning at the Roads and Transport Authority, RTA, headed by Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the RTA, has approved the authority’s revised strategic plan, 2016-2020.
The objectives of the strategic plan have been revised in keeping with Dubai Government’s drive, and RTA’s values have also been revised, namely, Corporate Reputation, Excellence and Success, Leadership and Teamwork, Happiness and Positive Energy, and Creativity and Innovation.
Speaking on the occasion, Al Tayer said, “The RTA’s revised strategic plan is in line with the directives of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, and H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Vice Chairman of the Executive Council, to render Dubai the smartest city worldwide. This concept depends on man as the mainstay of the community by offering distinctive and innovative services capable of bringing happiness to people. The updated strategic plan took into account the outcomes of the UAE National Agenda 2021, Dubai Emirate Plan 2021, and Dubai Self-driving Transport Strategy, which is aimed at making 25% of all transportation trips in Dubai self-driving by 2030.”
