Registration opens for Future Leaders Programme

The UAE Government Leaders Programme has opened the registration for the 4th Future Leaders Programme aimed at preparing national cadres under ‘The Leader of the 21st Century’ model launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Applications for registration will be accepted for a period of one month starting from May 30 to Thursday June 30.
On this occasion, Her Excellency Hessa Essa Buhumaid, Assistant Director General for Government Services and Leadership at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs & The Future, said: “The Programme in its 4th batch has introduced a new training structure covering best practices in the fields of happiness, positivity and the future to equip future government leaderships with the latest tools and methodologies related to their area of work.”
HE Buhumaid said applications for the programme will be accepted from candidates in both public and private sectors, reflecting the ongoing focused efforts to prepare national leaders in line with the UAE Vision 2021. She pointed out that ‘The Leader of the 21st Century’ model, inspired by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and his leadership styles, is aimed at building similar national capabilities with a global vision and future outlook, capable of keeping pace with rapid global level changes and overcoming the challenges of tomorrow to achieve happiness in the society.
Unlike the past years, the latest batch of the programme has been opened up for applicants from federal and local governments as well as the private sector. It has also offered the option of self-nomination with approval from authorities concerned. Applicants are required to be UAE nationals holding a Bachelor’s degree or above, and must have experience working as part of a team. Those in the management level in companies in the small and medium enterprises sector may also apply. Candidates are required to be fluent in Arabic and English languages, and must have effective communication skills.
The course extends for 18
months and registration can be
done online through the website www.uaeglp.gov.ae until June 30, after which applications will be shortlisted for second phase of selection process which includes interviews and tests until September.
