RAK Courts Department obtains int’l certifications

The Ras Al Khaimah Courts Department (RAK Courts) has been awarded PAS 99, an international specification for integrated management systems, ISO 9001:2015, which specifies requirements for a quality management system, and ISO 14001:2015, which specifies requirements for environmental management systems, the Department said on Monday.
This is the first time a government agency in the emirate has obtained the three international compliance certifications together, from the first assessment.
“This big achievement is an important step towards further excellence, innovation and creativity in the context of implementing the vision of the Government of Ras al-Khaimah and the strategy of the department for enhancing institutional support services, promoting a culture of innovation and creating as well as exerting more efforts in providing quality services to achieve customer satisfaction and happiness,” said Counselor Ahmed Mohammed Al Khateri, Chairman of Ras Al Khaimah Courts Department.
RAK Courts are moving steadily into the future with a spirit of innovation. In 2014, the Ras Al Khaimah Courts was awarded 9001: 2008 specifies requirements for quality management systems, said Dr. Saif Ali Al Shamili,
director-general of the
department.
ISO certifications are awarded by the International Organisation for Standardisation, ISO, while PASS99 is awarded by BSI, a British
business standards company.
