In 2015, Boehringer Ingelheim achieved net sales of about 14.8 billion Euros and R&D expenditure corresponded to 20.3 percent of net sales. Boehringer Ingelheim Middle East and North Africa (MENA) achieved a sales growth of 26 percent. Moreover, the company’s META operations achieved a growth of 17.4 percent in its sales, where strong performing markets included Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Algeria as well as the UAE. In the UAE, Boehringer Ingelheim recorded a 34 percent growth compared to the previous financial year. It also expanded by 65 percent in terms of number of employees in the UAE within the last four years.
The company’s Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META) headquarter is now located in Index Tower, Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) amid ambitious expansion plans across the UAE and the wider region.
