Souq Al Jubail, a project of Sharjah Asset Management property and the largest fresh produce market in Sharjah, has allocated a dedicated space for products designed by inmates of the Sharjah Punitive and Correctional Establishment.
The move is part of the management’s efforts to boost partnership with government parties in the Emirate of Sharjah and their commitment to supporting all groups of society.
The initiative is being carried out in collaboration with Sharjah Police Headquarters, as part of its mutual support to the Ministry of Interior’s strategic plans of correcting and rehabilitating inmates by integrating them into mainstream society and enabling them to use their talents in a productive manner.
The stand displays a variety of inmates’ handicrafts under the slogan “Products of Hopeâ€. The items on display include household items such as chairs, tables, gift boxes, ship miniatures and many other products made by wood and other various available materials.
Through the activities of its Ramadan Festival, Souq Al Jubail seeks to provide an exciting shopping experience for all members of the family, by ensuring their needs for fresh produce are catered to and made available all under one roof, as well as arranging the activities that encourage them to visit the Souq and enjoy its facilities and services.
During Ramadan, Souq Al Jubail will be open every day from 7:00am to 2:00am.
