The Nation’s Fund has called upon the private sector to play its social responsibility role by effectively supporting the Year of Giving initiative, launched by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The UAE has always been a model of philanthropy, in line with the values established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, said Lt. General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and General Security in Dubai and Chairman of the Nation’s Fund.
The declaration of 2017 as the Year of Giving represents an ideal opportunity for all sections of the community
to support the fund which is working to ensure all-round development of the UAE, he added.
The Nation’s Fund works along four main axes that have a positive effect on the UAE community and help improve the capacities of its people.
The fund sponsors talented citizens, and offers them professional advice to develop their capacities, in addition to encouraging commercially viable social projects, and helping to build a knowledge-based economy by encouraging innovations.
All citizens and companies can donate to and volunteer for the fund to help accomplish its different programmes and initiatives.
