Speaking at the ceremony, Mahboob Musabih said, “We congratulate the award winners at CIFF. We are happy to have sponsored this festival, which is a great activity to encourage children to innovate and think out of the box. We are following the directives of our wise leadership of nurturing and supporting innovation, especially in the younger generations who will lead the future.”
Speaking about this year’s theme, Ozair Mubarak said, “We raise awareness on the protection of IPR among society members of all sectors and age categories. Movies are one of the ways to reach out to a greater number of people. This is why Dubai Customs chose IPR to be the focal point and the main theme of the awards this year.”
The IPR Department’s Dubai
Customs IPR Award, launched in 2007, raises awareness on the perils of
counterfeiting.
The award has helped engage school and college students in the mission of protecting society from fake products.
