The Road and Transport Authority (RTA) Licensing Agency has recently launched the second phase of its ‘Online Vehicle Mortgage Addition’ service, the ‘Vehicles Mortgage Addition/Redemption’ scheme. The first phase of the scheme, ‘Online Vehicles Mortgage Redemption,’ was launched in 2013.
Ahmed Bahrozyan, CEO of the RTA Licensing Agency, said, “The RTA constantly seeks to adopt the world’s best practices to improve services on offer to individual and corporate customers. Migration to e-services is therefore considered part and parcel of the RTA’s current plan for raising customers’ satisfaction through offering improved and efficient online services in collaboration with mortgagors, banks and car dealers.”
“Implementation of Phase II of the scheme is already underway through the self-service improvement system known as the ‘SDDI’ system. The system simplifies and streamlines vehicle mortgage procedures, and slashes the time and cost of transaction processing, as well as reducing the paper work, thus conforming to one of the RTA’s key strategic goals. The ‘Online Vehicle Mortgage Addition’ service will be established by linking mortgagors with the RTA via the SDDI system by uploading the mortgage details online to our traffic system,” added Bahrozyan.
“The RTA seeks to implement the vision of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, of reducing the number of people visiting customer service centres by providing easy and safe
alternative services,” he
concluded.
These alternative channels encourage companies and individuals to use e-services in order to have their transactions processed rapidly, without obliging them to visit RTA’s service centres, which contributes to bringing happiness to customers,” he concluded.
