Oil industry leaders converge to discuss new energy landscape

Twenty of the world’s leading oil industry chief executives gather in Abu Dhabi on Sunday to discuss the new energy landscape and different models for partnerships across the industry.
The senior executives, representing the world’s biggest oil companies from across the globe, have been invited to the Abu Dhabi CEO Roundtable by HE Dr Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of State and ADNOC Group CEO. The roundtable will provide a high level forum for dialogue regarding the current economic environment facing the energy industry.
HE Dr Al Jaber said: “The energy industry is evolving. Lower oil prices have placed an increased priority on resilience and efficiency and companies in the industry are independently searching for sustainable strategies in this new energy landscape.”
“We are entering a time where societal, technological, and political trends are reshaping the
environment in which oil companies operate. The Abu Dhabi CEO Roundtable will provide a timely opportunity for key industry leaders to openly discuss important issues, including potential areas of partnership to advance the industry.”

UAE a main platform for energy sector, says Fujairah Ruler

The UAE has come up with foundations and regulations under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, which bolstered the country’s standing as a main platform for local, regional and global energy companies, said His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah.
He lauded the development in the oil and gas sector in the UAE as he welcomed Eelco Hoekstra, CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board of Royal Vopak, and Saif Hamid Al Falasi, CEO of Emirates National Oil Company, ENOC.
HH Sheikh Hamad also praised the role of the national oil companies in backing the economy and future projects.
