Her Excellency Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs, called for innovative thinking to achieve the government vision for leadership and excellence in all areas affecting people’s lives. HE Al Kaabi stated this during an innovation award ceremony organised by the ministry to honour employees as part of efforts to offer employees an inspiring environment to think creatively and adopt innovation.
The ceremony was held in the presence of HE Tariq Hilal Lootah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs, HE Dr. Saeed Mohammed Al Ghafli, Assistant Undersecretary for Federal National Council Affairs, and His Excellency Sami Bin Adi, Assistant Undersecretary for Support Services Sector, as well as group managers of departments and the staff of the ministry.
HE Al Kaabi pointed out that under the declaration of the Year of Innovation in 2015 by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the launch of the UAE National Innovation Strategy by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the UAE has charted the course for government entities to enhance their performance levels and encouraged the private sector and the civil society organisations to adopt innovation as one of the key drivers in achieving development in the society.
Encouraging the ministry employees to work hard to contribute their innovative ideas, HE Al Kaabi said teamwork and communication are vital to generate ideas and achieve the
vision of the leadership.
As part of efforts to encourage innovation ideas, a contest titled ‘Best Innovation on the Wall of Innovation’ was organised for staff of the ministry which witnessed the participation of 18 employees who came up with 37 ideas. Three employees were honoured on the occasion for their winning ideas.
