Sixteen news agencies, including the Emirates News Agency, (WAM), signed a declaration agreeing to work to raise awareness of the importance of the main themes of the World Government Summit and of the need to promote global understanding.
Signatories included representatives of the following news agencies- Saudi Press Agency, (SPA); Middle East News Agency, (MENA); Indo-Asian news Services, (IANS); Jordan News Agency, (Petra); Federation of Arab News Agencies, (FANA); ANSA, Italy; Federation of News Agencies of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation; National News Agency – Lebanon; Associated Press of Pakistan; Athens News Agency; Oman News Agency; Lusa Agencia de Noticias of Portugal; UKRINFORM of Ukraine; Mauritania News Agency, and Press Trust of India (PTI).
Representatives of the agencies have been attending WGES 2018, which concluded in Dubai on Tuesday.
