VB World, an innovative dining concept has expanded its presence to the UAE as part of its global growth. Created by its parent company, Namma Veedu Vasanta Bhavan – a renowned South Indian vegetarian restaurant chain established in India in 1974, VB World celebrates nearly 50 years of culinary expertise with an immersive dining experience featuring vegetarian cuisine from across the globe.
“We are excited to bring VB World to the UAE as we approach our 50th anniversary. VB World is designed as a truly global vegetarian food destination, offering diverse cuisines such as Thai, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, South Indian, and North Indian under one roof. Alongside our savoury offerings, we’ve introduced Cones and Brews, a brand specializing in international pastries and single-origin coffee sourced directly from Indian plantations. We are thrilled to showcase Indian coffee’s quality on the global stage,” said Anand Krishnan, Director of Operations and Project Expansion at Chandramari Group.
VB World’s standout feature is its live cooking counters, where diners can watch pizzas, pasta, dim sum, sushi, and chaat being freshly prepared. The dining experience is further elevated with baristas creating coffee right in front of guests, adding an interactive element to every meal.
Dubai’s cosmopolitan population and multicultural appeal make it the perfect location for VB World’s first Middle Eastern outlet. The UAE is a melting pot of cultures and cuisines, which aligns perfectly with its goal of offering global vegetarian cuisine. VB World isn’t just for the Indian community—it’s for anyone who enjoys a diverse and flavorful vegetarian dining experience.
VB World’s extensive menu includes over 300 dishes that cater to a wide demographic—from children to seniors. Signature dishes include Idly with Veg Paya, a vegetarian spin on the traditional mutton paya, and Biryani, which is prepared with coconut milk and mock meat, delivering the rich flavours of non-vegetarian biryani in a plant-based form.
Another highlight is the colorful dim sum, made with tapioca flour and naturally colored with vegetables like beetroot and turmeric. Staying true to its roots, VB World prepares all dosas with traditional groundnut oil, in line with Indian culinary traditions.
What sets VB World apart from other vegetarian restaurants in Dubai is its truly global approach. “You won’t find many places that offer sushi, idly, filter coffee, and single-origin cappuccino in one dining experience,” Anand said. “VB World brings together the best of both worlds—global variety and traditional favorites—creating a menu that suits every mood, from breakfast to dinner.”
VB World is just getting started in the UAE. With its centralized kitchen model, the brand plans to open more outlets across the UAE in the near future. Additionally, the Cones and Brews café concept, will be rolled out as a standalone chain.
“The future looks bright for VB World, with plans to open 25 outlets across the UAE within the next year, taking vegetarian cuisine to new heights in the Middle East,” added Kavi Chandru Suresh Babu, Executive Director at Chandramari Group.
