Nakheel Properties announced that it is to build a new mall with 1.2 million square feet of shopping, dining and entertainment outlets at Nad Al Sheba.
AE7 consultants will oversee the design, engineering and construction supervision of Nad Al Sheba Mall. A construction tender is expected to be released at the end of the year, according to the Nakheel announcement.
The mall will have approximately 200 shops, restaurants and entertainment outlets including a supermarket, department stores, multi-screen cinema, medical and fitness centres.
Ali Rashid Lootah , Nakheel Chairman, said, “Nad Al Sheba Mall is the latest addition to our rapidly-expanding retail project portfolio, which will see the delivery of 13 million sq.ft. of leasable space in the next three to five years, adding to the 4 million sq.ft. already in operation.
The Nad Al Sheba community will include 1,500 four and five bedroom homes for lease as well as a club house, community swimming pool, and sports courts.
