The second annual Mother of the Nation Festival, a national cultural and social event to honour, celebrate and commemorate the inspirational values of Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, began at Abu Dhabi’s Corniche.
Organised by Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, the event is attracting a large number of people. The festival area was split into four zones, with each zone having its own unique theme, such as the Progress Zone, the Happiness Zone, the Souq Zone, and the Beach Dining Zone.
The highlight of day one, the world-famous performance, Lords of Lightning- Frequency Rider, fascinated audiences with its electrifying show.
Lords of Lightning enthralled visitors with their spectacular high-voltage shows through giant sensory immersive environments, animated metal sculptures and unique effects powered by harnessing the force of energy.
An average of four to five interactive workshops will be held during the festival, which will continue until April 4, to highlight a range of topics, such as sustainability, and happiness through engaging in informative and thought-provoking activities.
The festival area will serve as a focal point for thousands of visitors to Abu Dhabi’s Corniche over the next 10 days.
Through the activity zones, the festival is creating an entertaining and highly interactive atmosphere to welcome families and individuals from all walks of life.
