Morocco in Abu Dhabi is officially open for public, and is receiving significant interest from UAE residents, expats and visitors, who are flocking the event to see what the Moroccan talent has to offer, in a successful event being held for the second year running.
This year’s edition is being held under the supervision of the Ministry of Presidential Affairs Office with the objective of reinforcing the ties between the UAE and Morocco; Morocco in Abu Dhabi is filled with a host of interactive cultural and artistic activities, complemented by the glamorous designs. At the entrance, a gigantic handcrafted wooden gate guides visitors into a mystical journey of arts, including custom-made two million piece of earthenware mosaic, bright walls fitted on colossal marble and sparkling ceiling with hanging copper chandeliers.
The 2016 edition is celebrating the best of Islamic architectural art that progressed in Morocco more than anywhere else in the Arab world. Morocco has maintained a rich and artistic heritage and maintained its position as the primary hub of Andalusia Architecture, one of the main components of Islamic art for more than six centuries.
The Moroccan music will entertain the visitors of Morocco in Abu Dhabi through traditional, spiritual, and tribal Moroccan rhythm under one roof. Kaleidoscope and Mosaic artistic material will be decorating the corridors of Morocco in Abu Dhabi; fashion enthusiasts will have the chance to view the traditional breath-taking artisans’ creations and attend unique pre-scheduled fashion shows. Gourmet connoisseurs will indulge in a refined blend of flavors and culinary conception presented by renowned Moroccan chefs.
The Moroccan Museum, enclosing precious Moroccan gems of fashion, instruments of war including weapons, swords, daggers, spears, and between tea tools.
Morocco in Abu Dhabi is welcomed by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco and supported by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and the recognition of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of
Presidential Affairs.
