Welcomed by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco and supported by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and the recognition of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Morocco in Abu Dhabi 2016 is set to launch on the December 5. The event will open its doors from the December 5-18 between 3:00 pm and 10:00 pm at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre) ADNEC).
The event will be held in parallel with the UAE’s 45th National Day celebrations, with the objective of reinforcing the ties between the UAE and Morocco, led by the leaderships of both countries. Morocco in Abu Dhabi 2016 is an ideal platform to enhance economic, educational, tourism and cultural relationships, and to introduce the inherent Moroccan culture and heritage amongst the country’s communities.
HE Matar Suhail Al Yabhouni, Member of the Federal National Council and Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of Morocco in Abu Dhabi, welcomed by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco and supported by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and the recognition of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, announced the completion of all the preparations to host this momentous event, following the tremendous success of last year’s edition in the Capital.
Al Yahbouni confirmed that Morocco in Abu Dhabi offers a great opportunity for the UAE’s citizens and residents to learn about the Moroccan legacy and to educate the future generations on the importance of preserving its heritage. The event aims to instill the principles of tolerance and love which are the cornerstone of the values set by our parents, grandparents and ancestors.
This year’s edition will offer its visitors a great opportunity to explore Morocco’s rich culture and heritage. Morocco in Abu Dhabi is an ethnic journey that unveils the country’s eclectic traits, from architecture, to music, art, and cuisine, presented in a sensational and elegant layout that glees the senses of its visitors.
The 2016 edition will celebrate the best of Islamic architectural art that progressed in Morocco more than anywhere else in the Arab world. Morocco has maintained a rich and artistic heritage and maintained its position as the primary hub of Andalusia Architecture, one of the main components of Islamic art for more than six centuries.
The Moroccan music will entertain the visitors of Morocco in Abu Dhabi through traditional, spiritual, and tribal Moroccan rhythm under one roof. Kaleidoscope and Mosaic artistic material will be decorating the corridors of Morocco in Abu Dhabi; Fashion enthusiast will have the chance to view the traditional breath-taking artisans’ creations and attend unique pre-scheduled fashion shows. Gourmet connoisseurs will indulge in a refined blend of flavors and culinary conception presented by renowned Moroccan chefs.
