Mohammed receives GCC Secretary General

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received on Sunday Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al
Zayani, GCC Secretary-General.
Present during the meeting were HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai.
Sheikh Mohammed and Al Zayani discussed the most significant achievements at the social, economic and security levels for the peoples of the member countries in the GCC council. They also highlighted the keenness of the GCC leaders to attain economic integration in various sectors with the goal of achieving peace, security and stability in the region. In his report, Al Zayani, briefed His Highness about the steps taken to attain the common national goals for their peoples, namely at the economic and security levels and the full political coordination at regional and internationals conferences and meetings.
Sheikh Mohammed expressed satisfaction regarding these positive steps and affirmed the UAE’s support to the council’s efforts as well as the country’s keenness to mobilized the collective efforts so as to implement the leader’s recommendations and decisions and benefit the peoples of the GCC nations, which His Highness described as an umbrella protecting the gains of the GCC countries and peoples at all levels. “It’s our destiny,” Sheikh Mohammed said.
During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed and Al Zayani, reviewed the Agenda of the 37th GCC Summit which will be held in the 6th and 7th of December 2016, in Bahrain. The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Theresa Mary, will be joining the leaders of the six nations at the summit.
The meeting also touched on the agenda of the 37th Summit of Their Majesties and Highnesses the leaders of the GCC countries, to be hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain on December 6-7, which will bring together leaders and leaders with the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Theresa May during the period the summit in Manama.
The meeting was attended by Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future, Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation, Mohammed Ibrahim AI Shaibani, Director-General of His Highness the Ruler’s Court, Government of Dubai, and Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director- General of the
Department of Protocol and
Hospitality in Dubai.
