His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Tuesday, received at Al Bahr Palace, the President of Mali, Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, who is here to attend the “Reaching the Last Mile: Mobilising Together to Eliminate Infectious Disease” forum, due to be launched on Wednesday in Abu Dhabi.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed welcomed the Malian President and discussed co-operation and ways to enhance it in the best interest of the two countries.
HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, was also present. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed and Keita reviewed the existing co-operation between the two countries, especially in the economic and development domains.
Sheikh Mohamed expressed his happiness at the developing relations between the two countries, thanks to their keenness to strengthen ties in all fields.
He said that the UAE, led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, aims to establish ideal ties with Mali in particular and the African countries in general. They spoke about the importance of the forum for transforming ideas into health projects and programmes for the benefit of the needy countries and underprivileged people as well as to promote development and progress.
The President of Mali expressed his happiness at visiting the UAE and meeting Sheikh Mohamed, stressing his country’s keenness to develop bilateral relations with the country in various fields.
The Malian president also praised the efforts exerted by the UAE in the humanitarian and relief fields and its role in supporting health programmes, especially to fight diseases across the world.
They also exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments as well as a number of issues of mutual interest.

State for International Cooperation, and Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court.
General Salif Traore, Malian Minister of Security and Civil Protection, Samba O. Sow, Minister of Health and Public Hygiene of Mali, and Boukary Sidibe, Malian Ambassador to the UAE, attended from the Malian side.
