Mohamed, Mali president discuss bilateral relations

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Tuesday received the President of the Republic of Mali, Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, who is currently on a working visit to the UAE.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed welcomed the President of Mali and discussed friendly relations and cooperation between the UAE and Mali, and means of supporting and developing them, to achieve the common interests of the two countries and peoples.
During the meeting, they discussed a number of common ideas related to the development of the existing fields of cooperation between the two countries, especially the economic and development fields.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed emphasised the UAE’s keenness under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to strengthen bilateral relations with friendly African countries and to develop these relationships to achieve mutual interests, noting that the UAE and Mali have good and distinguished relations.
He added that there are
many broad areas for cooperation between the two countries
and various opportunities for building partnerships that ser-
ve the construction and dev-
elopment efforts.
The Malian President expressed his happiness to visit the UAE and meet His Highness the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, stressing his country’s keenness to advance bilateral relations to a higher level. He appreciated the UAE’s support to the economic development drive in his country.
The two sides also exchan-
ged views on regional and international developments in the
region.
President Keita handed Sheikh Mohamed the National Order of Mali, the highest honorific orders of Mali, in recognition of his efforts to strengthen cooperation between them.
Sheikh Mohamed praised President Keita’s gesture and wished him health and happiness, and Mali and its people further development and prosperity.
The meeting was attended by HH Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Undersecretary of the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi, Abdoulaye Diop, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mali, and Boubou Cisse, Malian Minister of Economy and Finance.
