His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has received Jean Lemierre, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BNP Paribas, a French international banking group, which recently opened a branch in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM).
During the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed welcomed Lemierre and discussed with him ways to further develop banking and investment cooperation between financial institutions in the UAE and France.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed also welcomed the joining of the BNP Paribas Group to the Abu Dhabi Global Market, adding that Abu Dhabi is continuing to create the ideal environment for attracting prestigious companies seeking growth and expansion in their financial and commercial business.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed wished the group and all partners success in achieving further growth and expansion to meet their needs and keep abreast of global financial developments.
Mohamed receives Ismail Ould Cheikh

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Tuesday received the United Nation Special Envoy for Yemen, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, who will end his duties by the end of this month.
During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in Yemen and the efforts being made in this regard.
Sheikh Mohamed expressed his thanks and appreciation to the UN Special Envoy for his efforts to find a political solution to the Yemeni crisis during his term in the region.
He also discussed the efforts being made by the UAE and the Arab Alliance led by Saudi Arabia to support the brotherly Yemeni people to restore their security and stability, in addition to actions taken to provide support and humanitarian aid to Yemenis.
Sheikh Mohamed emphasised the UAE’s keenness to support the UN efforts to reach a political solution in Yemen and to end the insurgency, so as to purge the country of terrorist groups and ensure the return of security and stability.
Ismail, in turn, expressed his thanks for the UAE’s role in providing continuous humanitarian assistance to Yemenis.
The meeting was attended by Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council, and Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi.
