Mohamed, Kerry discuss extremism, terror

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Thursday received John Kerry the US Secretary of State, in Moscow.
During the meeting, they discussed friendship ties and co-operation between the UAE and the US as well as ways to enhance them in the best interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
HH Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, and HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, were present.
The meeting also tackled the most important issues and developments in the region. They also exchanged views on regional issues, especially the Syrian crises and the most important ideas and efforts exerted at the regional and international levels to resolve the crisis and the path of the ongoing negotiations.
The two sides also reviewed the efforts of the two countries as part of the international coalition to fight extremism and terrorism, stressing the importance of continuing efforts aimed at enhancing the pillars of security and stability, regionally and globally.
Among those who also attended the meeting were Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Security Council; Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority (EAA), and Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary at the Court of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince.
